Tuesday Tip: Your Favorite Products in The Fridge!

This tip was very straightforward to share with you guys! Pardon me; I have to catch up numerous works to complete, because the heavy rain makes QueenMamiBoo to stay on the couch rather to go work and be late and wet because of nonstop rain fall.:) What I did yesterday was diverting my eight hours purportedly to the little girl and allotted minute with my things that I must say efficiently and productively. Literally on belongings that I want to refurbish. So today’s tip, it’s something to do with …refrigerators! Yup! You heard me. I know it was in the cliché of storing some products in your fridge. Like what? Beauty products that you want to perform better and prolong its lifespan. Below were the products and the reason why you should keep it in the fridge:

why not?

Nail Polishes- Since the day I was in love to collect different polishes, I make sure I put them in clean and cool areas to make the bottle last long. (Especially the high-ends!) You can see some tips on how tocare of my nail polishes.
Perfumes- I just recently knew about it! My diplomatic friend told me that it would last longer when it slightly chilled, so I’d tried.
Skin care creams and serums- Do you remember my new skincare switch up? I’ve tried them to put in the fridge because when the active ingredients chilled, it penetrates the skin better, especially the eye creams-that great for tired eyes!
Lipstick-  Yes! A common practice by many, I do it once in a month. I want them to last as long as possible lalo na if you have that expensive MAC. But please do remind that it was just in a low temperature because in some cases, it will make melts and sweat on the stick. If you are familiar with the refrigerated make up bag so you can chill to go, you may acquire one.

cosmetic refrigerator

What do YOU think? Do you refrigerate your cosmetics just to lengthen lifespan? I can couch for nail polishes and skin care items since I do that myself. Please share yours.:) Have a great day!

On Spotlight: I Love Mini JamJam Hand Lotion!

And you would say I’ve fall in love with Koreans? No. Not necessarily in Koreans, there were three things only- The South Korea, with Song Hye Kyo and of course, their cosmetics. Nothing more, Nothing Less. :) From my fondness to Faceshop, Skin Food, Laneige and to Etude House. I think I’m going to love na the whole Koreans line. Haha. It's almost four years when it was unified chaos in our country. Not be surprising because of their lovely products and the pink-ish stores. I love pink as well. *winks* and I would spend pennies for them, in list was their  hand creams. Yes it is! It was turn super cheap eh. Honestly, after then I wash my hands, I rubbed alcohol for germs free- especially now, I have a little girl who always clinging to me. Then, I get some squeeze of hand cream to keep my hands from dryness. Did you already know that some rubbing alcohol can make your hands parched? so I use hand lotion to minimize dryness.

Etude House Hand Lotion

And speaking of hand lotion, I still love with the Mini JamJam Hand Lotion of Etude House. It's not really my first love, actually I have my Lovely Floral Me-Mini Pet Hand Cream but I never repurchase again because I tried other brands. That's why I am cosset myself in Etude House Hand Lotion.(For a try!)

Strawberry Hand Lotion
I like the packaging material of sort plastic and it’s indeed quite mini. You can see how much my palm can plump it overly. This hand lotion has a strawberry fragrance which obviously smelled like a fresh strawberry. The lotion moisturizes my hands without leaving a greasy feel. It’s kinda medium to lightweight lotion.

front and back of the package
I find it last for about 2 to 3 hours then I notice my dryness re-appearing especially when I’m at cold areas but I still feel enough moisture that I can tolerate it for another hour without re-applying.

forget my hand color, i think it's the light;)
My thoughts? I will repurchase again because it was portable lotion that you can bring wherever you go. I will try definitely other three versions: Citrus, Milk, and Walnut scented but can soothe and protect skin.
Have you tried this mini-lotion? Diba it's cute?

Tuesday Tip: Ways To Get More Volume Hair!

Ah it’s time! Simple tips every Tuesday, that’s’ why I called it Tuesday Tips.:) As I typed this post, my brain seems like a rotating earth that evolves in the sun, and other planets to complete the evolution pertaining to my baby girl and others, relatively. I’m not stressed. I think I have the work-life balanced. But these are the things that should be prioritized in top of all. I’m on leave yesterday to attend the plight of my unica iha, as always for her. It was cough and fever but I sifted alarm. I am so static when it comes to my little girl, I am sure all moms should do. I will post nalang the stories tomorrow; I already missed the Mom 101 file.

Going straight to the topic, I’m planning to have cut my hair in a shorter, but I have obsessed with my hair, just like every female. Some want nothing but length, some want to find right colors and other are finding for perfect cut and some volume (that someone is me!) I been blessed with flat, thin, and fine hair, and I wish I had hair like Mila Kunis in the photo! And I swear, I’ve heard and read it all when it comes to trying HARD to life the flatness and having a volume hair. Here, in no particular order, these things that I’ve tried, as well as giving you the tips for having more hair volume.

edited

1.       Change your parting. This easy tip gives a lift to flat hair of mine. I love how it gives me another look.
2.       Volumizing Hair Products. I’ve tried it many times, but please remind to those have colored hair-that some formulas of it may strip and fade your color. I remember the volumizing shampoo from L’Oreal Professional which my hair was quite dry, volumizing effect.

3.       Blow- Drying. Blow dry is no brainer tip; it’s easily lifting the roots and therefore added volume. One thing to avoid is hairsprays that will weigh your hair down after your hard work.
4.       Dry Shampoo. A general hair tip! As I read that some were don’t wash their hair everyday, (that was I never ever did pa, but dry shampoo was a perfect match for greasy and gives slight volume. It really works, one of the recommended brands, Dry Shampoo from Suave.

5.       Right Hair Cut. Styles cut with a blunt end and well placed layers can give a damn volume to thin hair. This was a “aha” moment for me-once I’ve done layering on my hair, it looks much thicker and more volume. I’ll do it many times again.*winks*

That’s all folks. Safe to say that I’ve tried them all and my favorite is the right hair cut and the dry shampoo. What do you do to get more volume in your hair? If you have any more tips I’d love to hear.:)

Skin Care Switch Up!

Almost having bad days with modulate rains, the cold ambiance of our office makes my skin so dry, I need to add few different products into my skin care routine. Water jug beside me was not enough to defeat dehydration.:)

my currently skin care

The first product I’ve decide to use is the Elizabeth Arden Visible Whitening Firm and Reflect Moisturizer (The name was too long to remember if you purchased over the counter!) It’s a luxurious moisture cream with micronized diamond powder and minerals, deeply hydrates and immediately brightens the skin. I’ve only just started using this but I’m impressed! It leaves my skin so soft and moisture. I don’t think I will buy the full package (120S$) cos it’s too expensive for a moisturizer than can brightens the skin, there’s alternative that can do the same.

Next up I’ve been using the Visible Difference Skin Balancing Night Cream currently ($42) but mine’s received as gift. *winks* This cream is working while you sleep that delivers balanced hydration and support your skin to look luminous. The first day I have used it, my skin feels distressed and I must say it has a higher performance of moisturizer.

*Updates*

I also used the EA Visible Whitening Melanin Control Day Essence, a daytime serum instantly brightens skin, evens out skin tone ans controls melanin production, so skin reflects a smoother, more even textured and luminous appearance.

lightweight serum that have diamond powder

Have you tried either of these? I’m also looking  for a new moisturizer, so let me know if you have any suggestions. I would love to hear from youJ

Fashion Friday: Cropped Tops for Men?

I was browsing net, when I saw this fashion trend who’s normally wore by women. But to my surprise, it seems I could start my weekend off with a chuckle.

crazy or cool?

I assume the photos are tending to show just the hint of the skin, and some are going all out and showing the pieces that shows well everything. Gosh! It’s kinda weird! Maybe it’s okay for the gym, but that’s it. I don’t know if men here in the Philippines would DARE to wear that in everyday’s style.
I am no fashion guru, but still kinda weird.  I think there’s no way to say this but this trend is definitely a no for me and a big NO to my king! Yikes!:) But I wanna know what you think-are male crop tops acceptable to our land? Cool or Crazy? Let me know what you think.

Happy Friday! We have simple event there, so I’m off to eat slice of cakes from Mary Grace.:)

Review: Celeteque Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel!

I was one of the blessed women in town for having an acne-free. I must say I would only get the occasional pimple when I have my monthlies or if I used cosmetic product that doesn’t match my skin. So I’m very thankful for it. But still, it would be glad if I had a clearer skin that doesn’t need to apply cosmetics just to conceal the flaws. You know, how simple, plain Jane I am and ready-to go-person that as much as possible, the only things inside my pouch is a translucent powder and a lipstick. But in case I have to attend special events or something work-related, I should have the “full-pack” make up. I guess that’s couldn’t be phased out. Lol. Seriously, we can’t prevent the coming out of zits, cause stubborn pimples usually base on hormones, stress (which I believe where my breakouts appear) infection and cosmetics are several things to include, that’s why I used this Celeteque Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel.

With its contents of Salicylic Acid that breaks down blockage in pores, Acnacidol that helps reduce sebum secretion and inhibits the development of acne-causing bacteria and French Spring Water for smoothening and moisturizing effect on the skin, I’m sold out that’s why I get one tube and try it for week to see the promising results.

thick gel
This small squeeze of gel helps reduce acne while hydrating the skin. It’s a moisturizer that considerably less potential to make you oily. Its thick gel feels sticky but absorbs quickly. You can buy the tube costs 335P (7.8$) that can lasts for three weeks perhaps, it depends on how times you used the product.

ugh the breakouts I suffer so far

Prons- affordable, medicinal smell, but tolerable, locally available, with manufacturing and expiration date so you don’t have to worry if it’s still usable

Cons- I can’t find one because I like how it reduces my pimples while hydrating my skin

How To Use- After cleansing your skin, apply on face and neck using your finger tips.

Would you buy it again? Yes I will, but eyeing to try Acne Spot Corrector Gel.

After having it with me all the time, applying it every morning before I go to the office without applying primer, concealer, and foundation in my face, (tiis-ganda) one week of result, and tada! this was my face with blemish free. Would you believe, it's just the powder and the lights. Haha. What do you think?

starbucks brown tissue:)

It removes my oily face. It’s like magic! I tried those blotting films but its expensive, (practical insert here) Haha.
But remember prevention is better than removing excess oil from your face, so do still the proper facial care.

Almay, The One Coat Nail Polish!

The plan we have doesn’t ensue from the sudden rain one afternoon. It’s a heartbreaking for the little girl but I created the weekend hours in a cheerful play and have the usual Sunday routine a.k.a mani / pedi treat. You know, how much nail polish relieved the stress from work and of course how’s the younger version of me, to be somewhat like me. My “NOTD” for the day is my new discovery of a new inexpensive nail line named Almay, the one coat nail polish!

This brand name was just before my hearing. I have to googled up just to know about the brand’s background. Thanks to google for being omniscient. Haha. I should know, but perhaps it was an American brand that can be seen on ebays and other US online shop. The product can buy at $7.99 or less than 350P.

Typical thing for one of my obsession and possession which I received mine as gift with an OPI included which I will be blog soon. *happy dance*  My Almay color was #26, Sheer Twilight. What I like about this brand is the noteworthy of its tag line. One coat of this streak was light and easy to dry, so I requested to done it with two coats for more highlight.

This Sheer Twilight polish was one of the rare colors of Almay brand. This product is hypo- allergenic and one more strange was the plastic locked that has been attached where the content of polish was wrote. Only the stinky smell of the chemical used, was the annoying.

Some added facts: Almay established in 1930 that offers skincare and cosmetics line. It was the FIRST hypo-allergenic brand.

* peg from Hi-5 *
Meanwhile, the little girl beside me, got an idea from her current favorite show, Hi-5 to make it colorful Sunday treat. *Like mommy. Like daughter.:)

That’s the blast of my Sunday treat, what yours?
Have you ever try Almay brand? Share your thoughts pleaseJ

Fashion Friday: How to Spot Authentic D&G Sunglasses?

In the world of reality, people love both designer merchandise and getting bargain. But sometimes it does not. If there’s a high-end brand, it should be an expensive. But in some case, there are brands that you may get in cheap, hence, such a “steal”.

Could we start with the brand I have now? Alright, I received a D&G Sunglasses early this year, and used it as an “alternate” eye essential for my summer.

At first, I don’t think it was real, but with the help of my internet connection and diplomatic colleague buddies, it persuades me that it was really a REAL. I thanked the person who gave it as my earliest gift. Anyhow, I’ll give few tips and techniques on how to spot authentic items in particular, D&G sunglasses. Here are some of my key points;:)

  1. Where did you get it? Identify of the purchase location. Does the seller have a history of being trustworthy source of designer merchandise? In my case, I just received it as free, so kindly read the next list.
  2.   Check to see that the D&G sunglasses are you going to buy came with a box, or cover case. Also check if there’s a information booklet and cleaning cloth that tendered. Without these items, there is probability of bogus.

          3.     Research the Item. Check out the D&G website, (which I used to before I try to bring it on my summer escapades) obtains the note of product specifications such as size measurements, composition materials and color availability. Make sure this info matches up with the products you look as you are shopping.

          4.   Look for product codes that assign each style of sunglasses. The product code helps to distinguish each pair from other models and colors and helps to prove authenticity. The codes are stamped onto inside arms of the sunglasses for easy viewing. Take note that if you hold D&G sunglasses in front of you like you were going to put them on, you will see the model number. (ex.4684569487) numeric color code on the inside left arm of the frame. On the right arm, you will find the company name and the CE mark. The CE mark id required stamp for products produced in Europe confirming that the merchandise meets European directives.

* In case you want to buy online especially in ebay, make sure the seller shows you a photo of the exact D&G sunglasses you will be purchasing before you buy. Please do not rely upon stock photo images. Be wary of brand new sellers and seller with mostly one day auctions, if opting to purchase D&G from online auction site. These are the signs that sometimes we ignore. Don’t forget the read the feedbacks about the seller. It is the number one practice.

That's all folks and have a great day Friday!:)

Skin Goodness with AVON BB Cream!

Avon Company was very common in the Philippines,( precisely in women! )  It’s been a number of years on the operations which committed in beauty products. Beauty, skin care and fashion needs were some of their product lines. I almost try several of their cosmetics and intimate apparel when I’m starting my adolescent age, and continuously on touched with their products. Make up like lipstick and eyeliners are on my bucket. Their skincare perhaps on promising, I don’t know, I had a lot of brands, but one of the items I hoarded from the company was the Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream!

It comes in a small 18g tube with pointed spout  enable to control the amount you dispensed. The box is ordinary that can easily rumple, as you can see on the above picture. It cost at P399 on all Avon ladies, but you can order online through your account.

The shade I got is B01 which is light, that pretty good match for my skin tone that does not give me a white patch.

This is the product on my hand, it’s watery-like and more like lotion but very spreadable and light.

Still see my vein and minor freckles that much visible after application.

Pros: It has SPF 20/PA++ with moisturizing that gives dewy finish that looks natural on me. Its consistency is thin which makes spreading the product much easily. It also a mild scent that is barely noticeable. Locally available.

Cons: It doesn’t do any concealing on my skin, it doesn’t stay long too.

My Rating? I gave it 3/5, I don’t think I would buy again because it doesn’t have the qualities of BB Cream I like.

This was how it looks applied on my face. It doesn’t cover my blemishes and kinda usual moisturizer. So what do you think with this AVON’s Skin Goodness BB Cream? Is it really goodness?
