NOTD: Birthday Nails!

It’s my birthday today! And I’m still working. I know I should be on leave and get pampered; get mani/pedi or having special treat to salon. I think previous long vacation was good enough for treating me.  So to celebrate my day, nothing screams bright colors and glitter and that’s what I’ve opted for today using what’s majority in my nail color trend-the never ending Faceshop.

It’s kinda metallic but the lighter one.  I wish you could see it personally to see the depth of the gold effect that can toned-down my skin.:) I know I should try some brands but nail polishes from Korean line are tempting. It’s cheap and colours displayed are appealing just like this one. Honestly, the thing that I love about their nail polishes was their colour. I don’t like the smell and the drying rate. Stinky smell of chemical and took hours to dry. It’s also happen with Etude House polishes. This nail polish is sheer, so better expect streakiness. It took two coats to get the full color. It chips until you reach 3^rd day.

It’s look cheaper version YSL Bronze Pyrite. What do you think? :)

Birthday Wishlist

In my entire life, I didn't wish for material every time my birthdays come. Honestly I just yearning for everybody, I mean for my family and loved-ones. But times change me, so allow me to do a little birthday wish list as it’s my birthday tomorrow. *winks* Everything here are things that I would never be able to buy myself unless I save for months (especially the car!) You have to go kind of wild on your birthday don’t you?!

1.       Celine Bag- Every girls dream! A pretty pricey bag, but I like this one which is a luggage phantom in supple, which made in calfskin red. No wonder its durability and always on trend. I really love this bag!.

2. Michael Kors Watch- Another every girls dream? Of course! I wanted Michael Kors (anything above, would be!) watch for a while now. I'll probably to save more just to get this even not on my birthday. (maybe not this year!) But will own one asap.

3. Loubotin Platforms- Oh! Another girl desire! I know I do! I would never buy myself, but if someone wants to buy me some. I wouldn't say no.:)

  4. 2010 Ford Mustang GT500 – Ever since I hit my debut, I always dream of having a good car. From Nissan to Mazda, an expensive Camaro to Lamborghini and the masculine Ferrari to Hummer cars. Just several of my dreams, probably I can’t afford it, but if I'm lucky to have one, the simpler the better, I just wanted to drive my OWN car. Gusto ko ako naman ang magsasakay! Haha. This Ford GT 500 SS caught my attention because I think, it’s very unusual here. The more it’s rare, the more it’s unique. Just like my personality! Hehe.

So, I’m now off to enjoy the last silver age I have. I’m getting old but I’m blessed.:)

Be The Goddess with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, A Soft Matte Bronzer!

I’ve received a soft matte bronzer last year on my birthday month, and I’d never do a review. Almost half of the dice was been used honestly. But don’t be disgusted, I know, cosmetics are expires up to six months only, but I just started to use it this year cause am prone to breakouts, and have no time to do full make up since I became a queen. Tehee. Simple routines na lang.

But once, I became in love with this Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer, I used to find this online shop if there are still stocked but as seen on their website, there’ s a new packaging launched that exact same product but there’s a brush included.

I think this is a perfect matte bronze that are more suitable for dark skinned or morena like me. It was easy for me to contour because it has a smooth and soft finish. It blends out easily so it doesn’t look too harsh, especially after I apply a foundation. It’s absolutely great as my favorite blush. I know this is very hard to find, I mean to find a brown color that would look good on your skin, and this one is a perfect gift for me. I usually apply it on the hollow of my cheeks right outward to hairline and a small touch to the temples and sides of my nose to help thin out my face, (I have chubbier face before, I swear!) This matte bronze has a multidimensional job so it doesn’t give you a patch of brown powder on my face.

Pros

A good bronzer that suitable for dark skin (morena), buildable, easy to color, a natural, shine-free color, long wearing, provides little glowy finish, bronzy skin that’s not flat, dermatologist-tested, won’t clog pores, doesn’t smudge, A high quality, indeed.

Cons

The only thing I could tell is, it was hefty price for just a bronzer (for $32 or P1440) If you are comfortable for splurging an amount for a 1.5 g, then go for it.:)

Tip: You can use this as an eye shadow, I use it in my crease that gave an illusion of deeper crease, don’t worry, it’s ophthalmologist-tested.:)

My Rating?

 I give it 4.99, it really does what it says eh’, I could say that it’s a higher brand that deserves to be a high-end product.

It's just look so natural on my skin, usually applied it on my cheek bones.:P

Review: Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner & Balancing Emulsion Moisture

It's kinda boring here, but not totally. Unloaded works so I had thought I would clean up drawers here. Upon fixing my things, I saw the sample of the Laneige skin care, that I’ve received last couple of months. (That’s the benefit of trying a sample for you to think if you would purchase it!) *winks* I already forgot to include it with my review in Laneige Snow Crystal Lipstick.

Oh boy! Am such a busy QueenBee and haven’t noticed it? If I could summon up, I used it twice a week, especially when I feel dry at my workplace.

Let’s start with Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner.

Laneige Skin Care line is a popular Korean brand. Do you know that “Laneige” means natural “snow” in France? It aims to complete the beauty of young women between 24 and 32 through hydrating science of “water”, the final destination of snow. (Yep! I was nosy so I’d look for the basic background.) Lol.

This product is used after the lotion to soften skin by removing the dead skin cells for clear and transparent skin. This is to prepare the skin to absorb the essence and emulsion more easily. It helps to control excess sebum, balances oil and moisture to purify the skin. To Laneige, it contains Bio Dusali which is extracted from fermented seaweed with strong energy of life, supplies energy to the skin and promotes skin cell turnover. Blends with Niacinamide for skin brightening, while exfoliating enzymes contained in the product that removes the dead skin cells. It also contain Royal Jelly and Sugar Cane extracts to refine dry and rough skin for moist and healthy results. I would not wonder if it's smells a sweet perfume and a watery-based. It's packaging comes in a fine, witten in Korean at the back that you wouldn't understand, only the name at the front of the bottle. You could purchase the full pack of 200 ml for $30.99 OR (P1332) 

 The product comes in different formulations for different skin types, and mine is dry to normal skin. It also comes for sensitive skins so don’t be fret.

How to use? Dispense appropriate amount onto cotton pad after cleansing morning and evening. Gently apply as lightly wiping motion from inside out. But I used my fingertips.:)

Next, the Laneige Balancing Emulsion Moisture

This one is my favorite next to my Skin Food Caviar Emulsion. I would definitely purchase it if I have trips in Korea or perhaps, I called my friends with travel to Korea. Haha. Korea is the place to be.:)

I tried this product because it has balancing emulsion for Dry to Normal skin. It contains the same with Skin Refiner but there’s Jojoba oil that blends with Royal Jelly for effectively moisturizes dry skin. The texture is still liquid for me, though it looks a cream; it’s not thicker and more opaque, so it takes on a slight watery texture. Super quick absorption and it makes my skin feel very comfortable and moisturize. I swear, it worked very well to keep my skin feeling hydrated. I used it every morning and sometimes use at night to balance my emulsion. It never feels heavy, which I find nice and interesting. I never had much of impression of Laneige before, but since I’m on my way to finish this sample, I might fuel my wallet to purchase the full size (120ml for $30.99 too)

Pros: Essence and emulsion both have a light texture that almost feels like water. Absorbs quickly, skin feels hydrated even after prolonged exposure to air-conditioning and sun.

Cons: Derived no benefits from the Skin Refiner, Scent can be too strong for some. Too pricey for some hydrating range of skin care.

I don’t have the ingredients list, it's usually in Korean but I indicated above the contained list in the product by logged in to Laneige page.

Have you tried anything from Laneige? Do you have anything you like? If you want to try it, I’d say try the Balancing Emulsion, this is an alternative and you can use it conjunction with your other products. All products can be bought on all counters but SM Aura is the closest to me.:)

August Avon Haul!

I have spent weekends with my family. For me, Sunday is a one of my favorite day.  Aside from the fact that we used to go to church, be thankful and celebrate family day, it's special coz first Sunday mass today and of course my birthday month. Haha.

It seems this month give me an impression of good vibes, because some surprise made my day. This evening, I received a package from Avon, it’s really from my Mom anyway. *winks* She used to be an Avon representative for almost decade, for some personal consumption. There’s a lot of new daw issue this month, so she hoarded some for me.
