Mom 101: Medicines That NO to your Toddler

Until now, the princess is still recovering. Trying to control her,(ang uber duper kulit kasi!)  for she never relapse again. So far, she's only taking medication, the antibacterial  due to; upon check up, she had this cough and having trouble to breath. She's slightly okay now, that she was no fever and cold.But I was still worried because the quantity she taking drugs at her age. Given that multivitamins, and dosages of milk, kaya di maawat ang pagka-bonakid nya!hahaha.

Anyways, masyadong pampered ang prinsesa, I able to know to her pediatrician na there are some various drugs na dapat isnabin;

One of the list is Aspirin- never give any aspirin or medications containing aspirin to your toddler cause it make a child a susceptible to Reye's Syndrome-I don't have any idea with this, so you better see the link, sometimes, it indicated in the back referred as "salicylate or "acetylsalicylic acid"-so its better to ask your doctor or pharmacist if its aspirin free. Did you know na its not good too with a 19 years old below? so you might be careful.

The over-the-counter cough and cold medicines-dahil nga i'm working mum, this is hard to have an appointment with the pedia, (so this a confession of a bad mum?) so I just gave the generic paracetamol just to help/treat. However, whem the child experience drowsiness, rash or hives, and upset stomach, it was a major serious effects.The child was mistakenly gets more than the recommended dose, and that effect suffer the child as rapid heart, convulsions and even death, (and wala naman mudra sa mundo na gustong pabayaan ang kanilang ina.diba?)
And to avoid of this circumstances, instead of too much drop, why won't we just try the home remedies?the soothe of vapor rubs?the sweet taste of honey?and the chicken soup and other warm liquids?diba mas safe?

And ofcourse,  any medication prescribed for someone else or for another condition can harmful to your baby- It is a habit of Filipinos, but we should awre all,especially young moms, that the prescription drugs intended for other people (like a Sibling) or to treat other illnesses there be ineffective or even dangerous when given to your toddler. And the best way nga is to consult your pedia/doctor. Mas hassle-free at iwas doble-gastos, agree mudrabelles? Just give your toddler only medicine prescribed for her and specific condition.

That's a quick advise from Dr. QueenMamiBoo.Hahaha.
Anytime, Anywhere, a Free-consultation:)Hehe.
