Something Interesting with Pantone Color of the Year 2014!

So it’s already announced that the color for 2014 was pastel colors? The Radiant Orchid specifically. What a coincidence, indeed! Before I’ve learned about the pantone color of the year, the KingDadiBoo and I were planning about our little girl’s room to have changed it color, we have plan it to be colour amethyst, or something purple-ish because of her birthstone. When I heard the Radiant Orchid, what jumped me from the couch I sit was this kind of imagination;

Really that glamorous room! why not? Could I include Dora the explorer on this room? Hehe since she almost know her. She began to love her and she did "Hola" when she heard the little spanish girl.:)
What also came into my mind was the lipstick I wanted to buy, the Mac Lipstick Amp. Yeah it is! My loveyboy once ask me if what shade of lipstick I wish for then  I blurted this. Ay! utang pa pala ito, it's time to make singil na! Hehehe

Actually, I wanted the Mac Lipstick Rebel to try but I almost have replica of this from Colour Collection in Magenta shade. Oh, I forgot to review some lippies from CC.If time permits me, I will. Promise! But I like the uniqueness of this lavender/violet color of this one. This is something uncommon that will be an statement with a neutral eye.:) But don't match with this kind of fashion, it's too overrated. lol

I mean this kind of fashion is so bright and unique, but sometimes we think if it will suits dark and warm skin tone like me. Infact, I never tried this one in my entire life. Until this #selfie mine, which I am failed to learn the #clipstitch app.

#selfie lol
Shame on the #selfie of the year! lolerz. It just soo bored so far in the office. Next week will be the regular exhausting days, but hey, hey, hey! for the meantime, let's splurge your weekend with this super sale on SM City North Edsa.

Oh well, That's all folks!
Let's wish this color of the year will bring luck to everyone!
Happy Weekend!:)

Thursday Talk: On Finding Happiness At Work!

We are humans, and we feel every emotion in every aspect of our life. My colleague friend once asked me how I would tell the definition of “happiness”, maybe he was stressed in work, or some things bothered him. Happiness is a huge noun to defined, I blurted. You perhaps, unhappy with your work, but blessed with your family and friends. It’s up to you, how to maintain harmony in work and life. That’s what I always bear in mind, because it’s just the state of mind. *WINKS* While it’s true that the work we do, (especially parents) helps us to put food on the table, it’s also one of the biggest sources of unhappiness and stress in our life. So if you are experiencing lethargic, displeasure or any pessimistic in your job, you have change your ways by how we look at on things. Admittedly, I also in that chaos, that’s why I read some, an article that, would help me to wake up each morning, to work hard and not waiting for the day to be over. Hahaha. Kind of self- motivated. I’ll share with you guys, just explore and embrace it!
Several outlines that I adapted to Mr. Rao who has in his best-selling book.

Things would be Good nor Bad
There are things that can happen in the office for eight hours of stay, neither good nor bad. If it’s not according to your plans, or if we commit mistakes/errors/ or submitted papers that rejected by the boss, Do it again, with calm and peace. (Okay, I’ll do it na!) I agree that when you start saying bad things at work, your mind associates it with negative feelings. Ayun na! Tuloy-Tuloy na! So as much as possible, look at things in the neutral so that you do not create unnecessary vicious cycles during the day. So, hindi na tayo tatamarin pumasok the following day! :)

That's me!, stress ako nung araw na yan, so one of the meditation I have is listening to the music:)

Knowing the Value of Practicing “Extreme Resilience”
Remember my entry, at ready for anything?  Being flexible is doing great things. Let us avoid spending so much time in needless, fruitless self-recrimination and blaming others. There is no need to practice resilience if we follow rule # one. So it’s another state of mind!? Isn’t it!?

Throw Away Grudges and Spend Less Time Feeling Jealous
“Okay I’m not bitter, I just wanted justification and equality” exclaimed by another colleague friend. So one was promoted despite of lack of accomplishments, character and preferential by the boss. (That’s the main issue!) So let’s try to let go grudges-as this is primary component of finding happiness at work. That jealousy is a negative emotion that has no place at work. “Maybe it’s your turn to heads up” who knows. Instead, be happy, because whatever happened to him will happen to you in your current job or another company.

#entry for #throwbackthursday :)

Find YOUR Inner Passion
I know a lot of employed make mistake of finding passion at work, including me. It easy to think about what we feel should be an ideal job for us and we often lose ourselves in thinking of a perfect workplace scenario. The author said that we should spend time in changing the way we look at our present job, instead of searching for that “something perfect” or even believing it exists. In my own note, if you don’t feel the happiness in work, then leave it, but of course be ready to face another adjustment on what work has been waiting for you.

Think of “Then and Now” But Forget About “If and Then”
These scenario is usually happen at the back of my mind when I and my friends talking about resignation. If you think you’re not happy presently at your work, then jumped to another opportunity, then if you’re not satisfied again, you’ll leave and find another job, and so on..THEN, Rao told “so much of what troubles you today will also vanishA very simple yet powerful way of looking at things in a different perspective. We think that IF we have this and that, THEN we’ll be happy. Sometimes, we equating are happiness based on monetary value. I remember tmy former client who was I met at Ayala, I asked him if he still works at leading BPO company, but then he said, he was not happy because of all the loads tasks him , (but big salaries. ) Now, he is in the company which not quite as big salary, but he found the happiness he’s been looking for. I get the point but I still believe, you will find a job where the two aspects are both provided.

Finding happiness at work allows us to rise above trivial and mundane things that cloud our vision and impair our ability to look at the bright side. As I read to a book, there always a silver lining in every negative situation you have. *winks*  The tips above barely scratch the surface but they should be enough to help change our perspective and ultimately lead us into discovering more things to keep us happy at/with work. Thanks for knowing this great author and I hope it also helped others to find the happiness at work.:)

P.S
I know it’s not Tuesday to give my tips but I’m planning to have another converse which is Thursday talk, because every lunch with my colleague friends, there are things/agenda we found interested. From expensive bags, showbiz chismis, issues in our country including other countries because of we scope in international trades, we also include the personal life of each one that would reflect to other people as well as the readers of this blog.

Tuesday Tip: Perfect Blush Color for Your Skin Tone

I am always bit scared of blush; how to apply it without looking like a clown, or do we really need it? As we already knew on how to applyblushes according to our face? It is also important to know the perfect blush shade that suit to your skin tone. So today, as I’d like to prove that I did my make up well. Now, make up gurus and beauty artist entitled to judge me. Haha. I am ready for critics.
But before your assessments, please let me share the article I read about finding the blush shade that will match to your skin color.

I think Amber was really destined to me:)

For fair skin (obviously, that’s not me!) Peachy blushes look amazing, since it is in the “warm” color family. Complexions with cool, yellow undertones look best in soft pinks.
For Medium skin, (I think this was my family!) Deep golden shade was best for a subtle day and Vibrant rose gold or apricot blush for night.

For dark skin - They said, Plum colors will pop against to your skin, and if we dare, bright fuchsia would look great to you. Isn’t too vibrant? I don’t think so, I don’t even try that. I am opting for bronze rather than blush eh. But in some case, I love peach/brownish shades.

A little bit harder to do, especially for days I don’t want to wear make up, but need a little perk-me-up.
So what do you think of my look? What blush colors do you use? Any suggestion to switch up?

Tuesday Tip: How to apply blush according to your face shape?

Before I joined pageants, I never masterpiece on what’s and how much make up should be put in your face to be consider as natural but classy and to be called as beauty queen, until I discover the issue from Glamour last January 2009. I like the article about blush, since I am no guru in cosmetics; I only depend on my handler. What interested me was there are ways to apply blushes according to your face shape-who knew? Here’s what I got from their tips, as taught by make up artist Nick Barose.

which mine?

Blush for Square Face shapes: To do this, put on blush in small circles, focusing more on the apples of your cheeks. (The apple your cheeks are the fleshy bits that stick out when you smile) In addition to, blush applied toward the hairline, below cheekbone and straight back toward the ears. This will soften the angel of the face.
Blush for Long/Heart Face shapes: Balance out the length in your face by applying your blush across your cheeks in a horizontal direction. Remember to blend it out to avoid the “war paint” look. In addition to, apply blush right below the apples, toward the ear.

Blush for Oval Face Shapes: Sweep color towards your templates. Think of the Nike “swoosh” logo. In addition to, application made along the cheekbone since oval faces are the most even shape. This will give a more lifted look.

Blush for Round Face shapes: Add definition by applying your blush at 45-degree angle-basically follows the outline of your cheekbones. In addition to, AVOID applying blush directly on the apples, instead, blush up to hairline. This will highlight and lift the cheekbone.

Hope these tip have helped-they’ve help me greatly. It seems I don’t need to go to a salon or makeup artist if I just want to have a make up that done by me. I would be proud of course. What do you think with my looks above? Did it hit my round shape face? Do you blush in a particular way? Any tips?

Tuesday Tip: Your Favorite Products in The Fridge!

This tip was very straightforward to share with you guys! Pardon me; I have to catch up numerous works to complete, because the heavy rain makes QueenMamiBoo to stay on the couch rather to go work and be late and wet because of nonstop rain fall.:) What I did yesterday was diverting my eight hours purportedly to the little girl and allotted minute with my things that I must say efficiently and productively. Literally on belongings that I want to refurbish. So today’s tip, it’s something to do with …refrigerators! Yup! You heard me. I know it was in the cliché of storing some products in your fridge. Like what? Beauty products that you want to perform better and prolong its lifespan. Below were the products and the reason why you should keep it in the fridge:

why not?

Nail Polishes- Since the day I was in love to collect different polishes, I make sure I put them in clean and cool areas to make the bottle last long. (Especially the high-ends!) You can see some tips on how tocare of my nail polishes.
Perfumes- I just recently knew about it! My diplomatic friend told me that it would last longer when it slightly chilled, so I’d tried.
Skin care creams and serums- Do you remember my new skincare switch up? I’ve tried them to put in the fridge because when the active ingredients chilled, it penetrates the skin better, especially the eye creams-that great for tired eyes!
Lipstick-  Yes! A common practice by many, I do it once in a month. I want them to last as long as possible lalo na if you have that expensive MAC. But please do remind that it was just in a low temperature because in some cases, it will make melts and sweat on the stick. If you are familiar with the refrigerated make up bag so you can chill to go, you may acquire one.

cosmetic refrigerator

What do YOU think? Do you refrigerate your cosmetics just to lengthen lifespan? I can couch for nail polishes and skin care items since I do that myself. Please share yours.:) Have a great day!

Tuesday Tip: Ways To Get More Volume Hair!

Ah it’s time! Simple tips every Tuesday, that’s’ why I called it Tuesday Tips.:) As I typed this post, my brain seems like a rotating earth that evolves in the sun, and other planets to complete the evolution pertaining to my baby girl and others, relatively. I’m not stressed. I think I have the work-life balanced. But these are the things that should be prioritized in top of all. I’m on leave yesterday to attend the plight of my unica iha, as always for her. It was cough and fever but I sifted alarm. I am so static when it comes to my little girl, I am sure all moms should do. I will post nalang the stories tomorrow; I already missed the Mom 101 file.

Going straight to the topic, I’m planning to have cut my hair in a shorter, but I have obsessed with my hair, just like every female. Some want nothing but length, some want to find right colors and other are finding for perfect cut and some volume (that someone is me!) I been blessed with flat, thin, and fine hair, and I wish I had hair like Mila Kunis in the photo! And I swear, I’ve heard and read it all when it comes to trying HARD to life the flatness and having a volume hair. Here, in no particular order, these things that I’ve tried, as well as giving you the tips for having more hair volume.

edited

1.       Change your parting. This easy tip gives a lift to flat hair of mine. I love how it gives me another look.
2.       Volumizing Hair Products. I’ve tried it many times, but please remind to those have colored hair-that some formulas of it may strip and fade your color. I remember the volumizing shampoo from L’Oreal Professional which my hair was quite dry, volumizing effect.

3.       Blow- Drying. Blow dry is no brainer tip; it’s easily lifting the roots and therefore added volume. One thing to avoid is hairsprays that will weigh your hair down after your hard work.
4.       Dry Shampoo. A general hair tip! As I read that some were don’t wash their hair everyday, (that was I never ever did pa, but dry shampoo was a perfect match for greasy and gives slight volume. It really works, one of the recommended brands, Dry Shampoo from Suave.

5.       Right Hair Cut. Styles cut with a blunt end and well placed layers can give a damn volume to thin hair. This was a “aha” moment for me-once I’ve done layering on my hair, it looks much thicker and more volume. I’ll do it many times again.*winks*

That’s all folks. Safe to say that I’ve tried them all and my favorite is the right hair cut and the dry shampoo. What do you do to get more volume in your hair? If you have any more tips I’d love to hear.:)

It removes my oily face. It’s like magic! I tried those blotting films but its expensive, (practical insert here) Haha.
But remember prevention is better than removing excess oil from your face, so do still the proper facial care.

Fashion Friday: How to Spot Authentic D&G Sunglasses?

In the world of reality, people love both designer merchandise and getting bargain. But sometimes it does not. If there’s a high-end brand, it should be an expensive. But in some case, there are brands that you may get in cheap, hence, such a “steal”.

Could we start with the brand I have now? Alright, I received a D&G Sunglasses early this year, and used it as an “alternate” eye essential for my summer.

At first, I don’t think it was real, but with the help of my internet connection and diplomatic colleague buddies, it persuades me that it was really a REAL. I thanked the person who gave it as my earliest gift. Anyhow, I’ll give few tips and techniques on how to spot authentic items in particular, D&G sunglasses. Here are some of my key points;:)

  1. Where did you get it? Identify of the purchase location. Does the seller have a history of being trustworthy source of designer merchandise? In my case, I just received it as free, so kindly read the next list.
  2.   Check to see that the D&G sunglasses are you going to buy came with a box, or cover case. Also check if there’s a information booklet and cleaning cloth that tendered. Without these items, there is probability of bogus.

          3.     Research the Item. Check out the D&G website, (which I used to before I try to bring it on my summer escapades) obtains the note of product specifications such as size measurements, composition materials and color availability. Make sure this info matches up with the products you look as you are shopping.

          4.   Look for product codes that assign each style of sunglasses. The product code helps to distinguish each pair from other models and colors and helps to prove authenticity. The codes are stamped onto inside arms of the sunglasses for easy viewing. Take note that if you hold D&G sunglasses in front of you like you were going to put them on, you will see the model number. (ex.4684569487) numeric color code on the inside left arm of the frame. On the right arm, you will find the company name and the CE mark. The CE mark id required stamp for products produced in Europe confirming that the merchandise meets European directives.

* In case you want to buy online especially in ebay, make sure the seller shows you a photo of the exact D&G sunglasses you will be purchasing before you buy. Please do not rely upon stock photo images. Be wary of brand new sellers and seller with mostly one day auctions, if opting to purchase D&G from online auction site. These are the signs that sometimes we ignore. Don’t forget the read the feedbacks about the seller. It is the number one practice.

That's all folks and have a great day Friday!:)

Tuesday Tip: What I love about Petroleum Jelly

It's been ten thirty midnight when I plan to have a write ups with this usual thing since I just learned how it works in my entire life. Yes! Just recently saw how an ordinary jelly turned its uses into extraordinary.
Way back in my elementary days, I always see the little tube that often in a corner of our cabinet. I do not even know with that, as long as I know my mother used it after she washed clothes. She polished her hands with this thing, as I thought it was just a lotion for oldies, hehe. Until I just used in my lips and feet when it needs to moisturizes. But wait, I think this is a heaven-sent. A product that helps you in many ways, let me share you the wonders of this petroleum jelly, the Apollo Petroleum Jelly.

"Ordinary makes an extraordinary"
A lot of petroleum brands here that I've tried, but I always end up going back to this one, and I never thought that this particular brand, would never leave you at the time when demand.
This brand is admittedly worthy. With its thick and gooey like, its consistency was really amazing.
Honestly, I never mind that one night, I need to buy another tube of PJ. It really works on baby’s skin rashes. PJ is meant to the little girl. It isn't as sticky and greasy feel like other. That something that I adore about the product.

"the back of PJ with its possible uses"
I personally used it when I want to moisturizes my feet overnight, this is probably my feet routine. Another interesting fact is, it doesn't transfer as easily because of its consistency, or even dry fast when I accidentally loosened the cap.

"has it sealed"
This 50g tube was good to keep at home, (every corner of your home is acceptable!) haha. With its cheaper price (1.2$), its functions is tolerable. It could be your make-up remover, a solution for chapped lips and   dry skin/hands. I've used it too for my wind burned skin  as I am outgoing and adventurous:) so I always have a tube in my bag.
It seems there are thousand and one uses for petroleum jelly and some of common uses I've strived. But when I saw this article, it increase my lists of uses for petroleum jelly, and surprisingly shocked with the tons of possible uses there are. I adapted the smoothing wild eyebrow hairs, sobrang pasok siya sa banga!. Hahaha.
 Take your look!
And tell me your favorites:)

Tuesday Tip: (My) Steps in Becoming a Super Woman

So many inspirational quotes scattered for people depressed, tired and for the most happiest person in the world. Ako, when there's really nothing too workload, I prefer to watch movies that are inspirational, Silver Linings Playbook was my latest. Have you watched it? Unfortunately,I have never started it because after eight hours of scrape, the UNICA IHA, just shedding my attention.Tama nga sila, nakakawala nang pagod. They make you happy. Siya ang happiness mo! Nakakagigil! Nakakamiss! and above all, it persuade you to become a SUPERWOMAN!

indeed

But how does one become a superwoman? Do you need to be Oprah, Princess Diana and Serena Williams? While it may be true that some celebrities are super women, being a superwoman has nothing to do with being a super star. Infact, touching the lives of others that matter to you is such a superwoman's character.Right?
So, what are the qualities for we to call, A superwoman? Being a QueenMamiBoo?Could I qualify?
( Hehe.)
Anyways, I have to sort at three and share this list on my readings, being a superwoman subjected to;

Know WHO matters to you
Becoming a superwoman is to identify the people that matter to you. This step may seem easy because we already know whom we care for. But, making a list of those people is very important para sa ibang steps na susunod. Aside from family, friends and relatives, we should also consider our immediate community, ( yun tindera sa palengke, yung kasamahan mo sa worship, yung kapitbahay mong tsismosa at ang istrikto mong boss.) Ok?

source
Decide how will you LOVE them
so dahil kilala mo na ang mga tao sa paligid mo, we should define what would be the best way para mahalin mo sila isa-isa. Pero how? How do you love your enemies?Hehe.
Some people na kakilala ko, answering this questions by asking themselves what would they want to hear to those people say about them after they are gone. In other words, if you had a chance to listen to people talk about you at your funeral, what would you like to hear them say about what you meant to them?gets nyo po?Diba most flattering said to the fellowship with Princess Diana?

source

Look After Number One- I might no use to the people that matters to me if I'm always sick and tired. Instead of becoming a person they cherish, magiging pahirap pa ko' sa kanila. So don't forget to look after YOURSELF first. This is the most precious asset! In order to achieve anything to your list, you should alive and well. So taking good care of yourself, (mind, body and soul) is a MUST! Try to get involved in three power things: hygiene, diet and exercise,( if possible) or get exercise by reading magazines and books that appeal to you.

Iam!

And be CONNECTED to HIM always. Spending time with your God, helps you to realign with your centre at the start of each day.

Remember that being a superwoman is about being cherished and appreciated by those you hold dear to your heart. As a woman you are already designed to love and care for others. With just little targeting and planning, the woman in you will soar the heights you have never dreamt and bring you peace beyond what money and fame can bring you; the peace that comes from knowing that someone is better off because of you.
And you can do it. Beggining right now, right here.:)

Tuesday Tip: Stretching A New Shoes!

If I’m having a new pair of shoes, I wanted the piece that I don’t have yet in my shoe rack. I like to collect and treat them as my babies or shopping pleasure. Way back, I do collected high heels shoes for some reasons (workshop, pageants.etc.) But working at Makati in all you have to do is walk; you need a pair of flats. Right!?
In my previous years, my size is 7.5, dunno if after gave birth surprisingly my feet works on 8 and sometimes, I got 9 size. Super laki noh? Di na ata proportioned sa body size ko. Hehe.

Speaking of new shoes, did you ever purchased at Ebay? Any collective branded shoes that you always wanted and luckily got the winning bid? Now I just purchased my Gianni Bini shoes, but I’ve realized they’re just a bit too small. Regrets? No! We could find way to resolve this. If you too suffer, same way with me, here’s some tips that I acquired. This is a right place to come! Hehe. I show you a few and send you out in style;

Wear your shoes at home-this is the easiest option I know. But in some instances, if your shoes are not THAT tight as to completely unwearable, nothing to do just to wear them around the house, until they adjusted to your feet. Probably it would take a couple of days, but it’s so natural.(tiis-ganda lang!)Hehe.

Wear thick socks-Put the thickest socks you have and squeeze your feet into the shoes, (if it’s leather) I tried  my longest and thickest socks I have. Don't you like the combi?

Freeze them with a bag of water- Filling a hole-free sealable bag, kinda weird noh? Traditionally, thick balloon or similar plastic bag about one thirds to halfway with water sealed tightly, with one bag each of the shoes.

Do the mashed potato-Peel a spud (the big russet is best)and simply push into your shoes overnight. Make sure it is large enough to create a small bulge in the shoe.

Hire a pro-If you have time, it is better to take your shoes to a professional cobbler for stretching. They have machines that can gently apply pressure and heat to shoes to be able to stretch them just right amount.

Kindly note that it take around 24 hours since this service dwelling on effort and cost especially for expensive or delicate shoes.

Several QueenMamiBoo warnings for these simple tips:)
Make sure that your shoes won’t be ruined if they get a little bit of water on the inside if you use the water in a bag method.
Take care of your feet and your shoes second. Hurting feet is a sign that the shoes are not right for you. (ako, tiis ganda then may extra flats. Hehe)
I hope you’ve got this helpful, and which of this did you use effectively? Kindly share below.
That’s all folks! Byies!:)
